Coronavirus Pandemic
St. John's Church is and always will be a community built on faith, hope and love, with, we hope, a heart for service. Corona virus doesn't alter that statement. It just challenges us to work it out in new ways.
As at January 2021 (following the Prime Ministers statement) like many places of Worship, the building is currently closed for public worship, groups and activities* (both Church & community) Closed building? But Open Hearts!
St. John's Church never underestimates the power of prayer. We're praying in solidarity with one another and for our communities, in our homes, at various times each day. To find out more contact the Minister or someone you may know from the Church.
We're guided day by day by our national body, the Methodist Church in Britain.
You can follow all their latest updates here
If you want to join in with our Circuit Zoom Services and events please contact the Minister or Church Stewards. If you use Facebook you can see more information and resources on the Borders mission Methodist Circuit page, the page at 'Messy Church at St. John’s Methodist Church, Titchfield Avenue', Sutton, and nationally ‘Methodist Church of Great Britain.’ There are links for accessing online Worship that come from a number of Methodist Churches across the country. Our Circuit (area) website is www.bordersmissioncircuit.org.uk
Phone and social media conversations about Christian faith, Church life and pastoral concerns are always welcomed by our minister, Rev'd Peter Taylor. Peter.Taylor@methodist.org.uk or 01623 554259
Please stay safe and keep others safe. May God bless and guide us all.
