The Golden Jubilee Celebrations
In 2018 we celebrated the 50th anniversary of St John's and this page is dedicated to recent events for the Jubilee. St John's is a thriving Church in the Sutton in Ashfield community which, over the years, has seen us engaged in many activities with the local community as well as Church organizations and, of course, worship.

The pictures below show a full church for the event and Revd Lorraine Mellor, President of the Methodist Conference, who honoured us with a visit and preached. She is also Chair of District and thus one of the most eminent and respected Methodists in the country.

Then next batch of pictures show events during the service including Revd Mellor getting help from a young member of the congregation who built a church of bricks with a fine cross to illustrate part of the service, as well as Bible readers, Revd Mellor preaching and the distribution of psalm crosses.
